How to get involved as a Research Assistant

Already at the University of Windsor? This research assistant (RA) application form link is for students with a University of Windsor email address and is open all year round. We typically hire new RAs at the start of the semester (January, May, and September). You can also indicate if you are interested in an honors thesis. All applications are kept on file for 1 year and may be revisited as more positions open. Graduate students in the lab will review applications and conduct an interview with candidates first as most RAs will work directly with the graduate students. We do ask for you to attach your CV (or Resume) and Unofficial Transcripts, however do know that we welcome those with a range of experience and backgrounds.

Not at the University of Windsor? For those who are external to the University of Windsor, we have created a fillable PDF version of the application form, here. Fill out everything that you can and send your application in via email for review. Note that because we work within the Microsoft environment (e.g., Teams, OneDrive), it can sometimes be difficult to have external lab members involved in certain projects due to the IT infrastructure.

Graduate Student Recruitment

I will be considering graduate applications during the Fall 2025 application cycle (for Fall 2026 admission) and admit students under the Adult Clinical track of the University of Windsor Clinical Psychology Graduate Program. For more details on the program, visit this webpage! The program at the University of Windsor has been CPA accredited for 50+ years and was built with the highest professional standards in place across Canada and beyond. It is built on a scientist-practitioner model.

Please note that I can only review applications that are formally submitted directly to the Faculty of Graduate Studies each fall. I cannot evaluate or create positions requested via email.

When evaluating applications, I commonly look for individuals who have fully completed their Bachelors degree and have some experience in different research laboratories.

Prospective students are strongly encouraged to apply for OGS and other external funding to top-up entrance scholarships. Graduate students are expected to apply for external funding in each year of their studies.

Post-Doctoral Fellows Recruitment

Potential post-doctoral fellows are welcome to contact Dr. Daros in advance of placements to work on funding applications. Due to the interdisciplinary work in the lab, projects in the lab may be suitable for funding through MITACS, SSRHC, CIHR, OHTN, and/or other provincial and national agencies.
